A Mãe Joana e as Comissões Especiais do Congresso

NewsEsta semana abri o jornal ” O Estado de S Paulo ” e me deparei com a seguinte matéria: “Deputados brigam na abertura de sessão para definir comissão especial para impeachment”.
Havia sido um dia tumultuado no congresso, quebra-quebra de urnas, cabeçadas, impropérios do tipo ” vai um tomate cru” ou algo do gênero, esquecimento do significado das palavras sim e não , e assim por diante. Até diria que foi um dia inusitado pelo tanto de movimento e trabalho dos ilustres representantes da pólis…
Antes de continuar, me permitam um pouco de história para um singelo paralelo:

i. A Câmara dos Lordes no Reino Unido surgiu como uma espécie de conselho para auxílio do rei. Era composto por eclesiásticos, nobres e dos representantes dos condados e era considerado um parlamento modelo.

ii. A expressão “casa da mãe Joana” teve origem no século XIV, segundo Câmara Cascudo (historiador, antropólogo, advogado e jornalista) foi criada graças a Joana I , rainha de Nápolis e condessa de Provença, que viveu entre 1326 e 1382. Teve uma vida conturbada e em 1346 mudou de residência para Avignon, na França. Alguns autores afirmam que esta mudança ocorreu porque Joana se envolveu em uma conspiração em Nápoles que resultou na morte de seu marido André, enquanto outros indicam que Joana foi exilada pela Igreja por viver de uma forma sem regras e permissiva.
Em 1347, quando tinha 21 anos, Joana normatizou os bordéis da cidade onde vivia refugiada, criou certas regras para impedir que alguns frequentadores agredissem as prostitutas e saíssem sem pagar. Para as meretrizes, Joana era como uma mãe e por isso os bordéis eram conhecidos como “casa da mãe Joana”. Em Portugal, a expressão paço-da-mãe-joana era um sinônimo de prostíbulo. A expressou chegou ao Brasil e como “paço” não é uma palavra comum, foi mudado para “casa”, e a expressão “casa de mãe Joana” passou a significar o lugar onde cada pessoa faz o que bem entende, sem respeitar nenhum tipo de normas.

Por fim, concluo que após o Reboliço desta semana no Congresso Nacional a Casa da Mãe Joana ficou parecida com a Câmara dos Lordes. Como costumo dizer ” coisas brasilis”…
